Delete Your Account

For iBLinq.me (Android package me.iblinq.app) and the iBLinq.me website.

You can ask us to delete your iBLinq.me account and the data held with it at any time. You do not need the app installed to make the request, and you do not need to give a reason.

How to request deletion

Email info@iblinq.me with the subject “Delete my account”, from the email address your account is registered with.

Please include:

  • The email address or username on the account
  • Your company name, if the account belongs to an organisation

We send the request from your registered address back to you to confirm it is really you before anything is deleted. If you cannot email from that address, say so and we will verify another way.

What we delete

Once the request is confirmed we permanently delete:

  • Your account and sign-in details
  • Your profile, and every visiting card on it — name, job title, phone numbers, email addresses, website and social links
  • Photos and company logos you uploaded
  • Your cards' public web addresses, which stop working; a QR code or NFC tag pointing at one will no longer open anything
  • The view and tap statistics recorded against your cards

What we keep, and why

Two things survive deletion, and only because the law requires it:

  • Invoices and payment records for subscriptions you bought. Indian tax law obliges us to retain these, and we keep them for the period it requires. They are kept for accounting only and are not used to contact you or to rebuild your profile.
  • Anonymous, aggregated counts — for example the total number of cards viewed in a month. These cannot be traced back to you or to any individual card.

If your account belongs to a company, cards issued to other employees by that company are not yours to delete and are unaffected. Deleting a company account deletes the cards issued under it.

How long it takes

We acknowledge every request within 2 working days and complete the deletion within 30 days of confirming it. Backup copies are overwritten on our normal backup cycle, within 90 days, after which no copy remains.

This cannot be undone

Deletion is permanent. We cannot restore a deleted account, its cards, or its statistics, and any printed QR code or NFC tag pointing at those cards will stop working. If you only want to stop using iBLinq.me for a while, reply to us and ask to deactivate instead — that keeps your data and can be reversed.
